OUR HISTORY
     

Swami Omkaranandaji, founder president of Badarikashrama VIdyashala, established the school in 2008 with LKG and UKG (Kindergarten). Swamiji's desire was to give quality, value based and modern education to the rural community.  The school began in the administration building with one classroom in 2008. Later on a beautiful school building was constructed with 36 spacious classrooms and modern infrastructure. The new school building was inaugurated in 2014 by Senior Monks of Sr Ramakrishna Mission, Srimat Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj, Ooty, and Srimat Swami Muktidanandaji Maharaj, Mysore. Sri T.B. Jayachandra, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Gov't of Karnataka also attended.  In 2015-16 a 400 meter pucca compound wall was built for the safety and security of the students. 

In 2017 the Vidyashala recieved the affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) New Delhi. It was a milestone in the history of the Vidyashala, making it the first CBSE affiliated School in Turuvekere Taluk.

 

In 2018, with the support of NRI's, the Vidyashala inaugurated an Apple I-pad Lab with 50 tabs which are all connected with Wifi network. The first batch of 10th standard students appeared for the State Board examination in March 2019, secured 100 % result. The school currently has 650 students from 115 villages of Turuvekere Taluk. To make transportation convenient the school has provided 8 school buses.
